Society at large must harness the power of sustainable and innovative design to mitigate and adapt the effects of extreme weather.

Design is everywhere: in the clothes we wear, the food we eat, the cities and countryside we walk in, and the homes we live in. Much of what we manufacture is unnecessarily resource-heavy. Fashion alone accounts for 10% of global carbon emissions and 20% of global wastewater.
